Barbara was born in Texas, raised outside of Chicago (South Suburbs), then returned to Texas for college and never left! Barbara holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A & M University and a Masters in Social Work from UT Austin.

Barbara practiced social work in various settings, then began working in church ministry at St. Luke's on the Lake Episcopal church. Barbara has held many different ministry positions, but she is most passionate about newcomers, welcoming, and membership.

Barbara is married to John. They have two grown children, Zander and Connie, and two ancient wiener dogs, Mac and Tippy.
