Vision and Mission statements help name who we are, what we value, and how we are called to serve in the world. It becomes the congregation's North Star, providing guidance for everything we do, including governance, planning, programming and decision making.
Vision and Mission statements position us to work as a unified body toward the same destination.
Determining our Vision and Mission will be a congregation-wide process carried out primarily through Small Group discussions grounded in listening, reflection, conversation, and community-building.
Together, we’ll explore why we exist, and what our purpose is, and who we want to be to each other and the world.
The first step involves forming the Task Force which will then design the data gathering process. Small Group Meetings will begin in September and the whole process will culminate in a vote by the congregation in the Spring of 2027.
Meaningful participation from the congregation will be key to our success. It is a pivotal moment in the life of our church, and we look forward to growing more connected, more intentional, and more inspired about the future we are creating together.
