“Across the Eras” Service Auction and GALA!

It’s simply the social event of the season, Dahhling … If you haven’t already, mark your calendar for Saturday, March 7, think about what you’ll wear, and start writing down what service/event you’ll donate.

This is a service auction, which is when each of us offers up something to contribute. There may be a few tangible items, but the majority of what we’ll be offering is experiences. Maybe you have a time-share or a vacation home you’re willing to let someone stay in for a week. Perhaps you can teach a skill – one year, I had a tamale-making workshop where attendees got to take home the product. Or maybe you have a service you can provide, like grouting someone’s shower or cooking a romantic dinner for two. Donation Form

Past service auctions have featured babysitting, 12 months of “brownie of the month,” family photo shoots, music lessons, commissioned crafts, and LOTS of parties. You simply decide what kind of party you will throw, the date, and how many people you can accommodate. My social calendar got filled up with dinner parties and a holiday tea!

And then there is the party, the Gala, itself. The theme is “Across the Eras” and you are encouraged to dress according to your favorite era. Flapper dress? Poodle-skirt? Tie-dye? Flannel shirt and ripped jeans? The party will include appetizers from across the eras, drinks, music, and more. Keep an eye out, as we’ll have signups for what you want to bring.
