ALL the Holiday Things!

This week, we have multiple holiday events happening, so you’re sure to find something that fits what you need. This Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 pm, we will gather in the sanctuary for the annual “Blue Christmas Vespers” service. This service is for anyone who is having a challenging time this December – perhaps you’re in grief from loss, or worried about the future. The service has readings, music, and a time for anyone who wishes to, to share some of what they are carrying.

Friday at 5:00 pm, we’ll gather outside the kitchen in the Welcome Center for our monthly Happy Hour. Bring your favorite drink (mocktails or “adult”) and snacks as we enjoy being together. Since it’s December, you are especially encouraged to don your holiday attire, including Ugly Christmas sweaters – but it’s not required!

Saturday, it’s the day so many have been waiting for – our Selfies with Santa festival! Join us from 10-2, as Santa Claus joins us to talk to kids and pose for pictures. Bring your camera or phone! There will be helpers to help with the photos, so parents/grandparents/etc can be in the picture, too. We’ll have activities for the kids while they wait, and some fun for the grownups, too, with a silent auction and bake sale. (We’d love your donations to the bake sale, too, individually wrapped please.) Got any neighbors or friends with kids? Bring them, too!

Sunday morning, it’s No-Rehearsal Pageant Time for the service at 10:00 am – all ages! This will be followed by our December congregational meeting.

See you soon!
