Interfaith Holiday Pajama Storytime with Rev. Crawford and Rabbi Reice

December 10 at 6:00 pm
PJ & Book Drive

Live Oak UU Church and Congregation Shir Ami, are collecting new pajamas (in sizes from infant to adult XXXL) and new books for disadvantaged children throughout the month of December to benefit The Pajama Project, which distributes these items to children in need. There will be a box for donations at Shir Ami during December.

We cap off our drive with a pajama and storybook party in the Live Oak library. Since it will be Chanukah and Saturday evening, Rabbi Reice will lead us in Havdallah and lighting Chanukah candles. Then Rabbi Reice and Reverend Crawford, wearing their holiday pajamas, will read stories while we all enjoy milk and cookies. Come dressed in your favorite pajamas! A donation of pajamas or books is your ticket to enter. Click HERE for more information and to register.

Pajama Program, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, provides New Pajamas and New Books to children in need. What makes for a good night? For most children, bedtime is a time of comfort, love and security. A time when children crave intimacy with their moms and dads, a few minutes of bonding and sharing in a safe, secure environment. But for the millions of children living in poverty in America, a good night is a luxury they do not often experience.
